Signals from the Hive: Human LTV and Agentic Solutions.

A human figure surrounded by glowing signal waves and connected data points, representing the harmony between human judgment and agentic systems.

We measure what work produces. Human LTV asks what producing it does to the human — and how to design for both to thrive. In the Intelligence Age, that cohesion has to include agentic solutions.

Here's what I've learned from the Hive founders — Rachael, Bridgette, Maranda — and from Hive clients: the biggest risk and the biggest opportunity facing every organization right now is the same thing — moving too fast toward a symptom solution. That's not a new problem. It's an old one, just accelerated now by mismatched human and agentic support.

Start with the outcome, not the tool

When we redesign how work gets done inside an organization, the outcome is the focus. That's what helps humans get there faster, and better. Speed and quality — not one at the expense of the other.

Maranda asked a question recently that's stuck with me: "What does a more adaptive, human-centered workforce look like in your organization?"

So today, instead of belaboring the AI risk-and-opportunity trend one more time, I want to show you the answer in outcomes. This is our first Hive Signal.

If you're anything like me, hearing "AI transformation" one more time is going to make you throw your laptop.

Signals from the Hive — recent outcomes:

Aggregated & anonymized across real client engagements.

  • Acquisition readiness

  • Discrete organizational friction points, clearly identified

  • Defined performance paths

  • Alignment across a distributed environment

  • ~50% annual HR team cost reduction

  • ~$450k vendor cost reduction

  • ~50% annual revenue growth, forecasted

  • ~$1M EBITDA impact

More signals to come.

And to be clear — yes, I use AI. Yes, the Hive is an AI-native operating partner. Yes, our scope includes AI solutions.

I'll still throw my laptop if you come at me with AI transformation as the P0.

Define the problem, and the problem's outcomes, first. The redesign follows.

The question

What would your organization do differently if you could prioritize & define discrete problems before applying an AI solution?
